En Avant! Pour un avenir meilleur!

Onward! To a better future!

Even though I cannot fulfill my New Year Resolutions (never did), I will still try my best in my chosen career field. And that I will continue to study on my own until I find someone who'd be able to teach me about music.

As for a side note: yeah, I'm going to eat a lot tonight!

Happy New Year!

=-=

That pen on the left hand really looks weird. At least the conductor's baton is alright.

Sad we didn't have kebab. But we do have barbecue.

[Edit]

To make things fun listen to these:

Mozart's Sonata for Two Pianos in D
Mozart Piano Sonata no. 11
Berlioz Symphonie Fantastique, 5th Mov.
Gershwin's Rhapsody in Blue (Melodica Version)
Mozart Oboe Concerto (Allegro Aperto)

Misadventures

My face when I opened my cellphone again after updating the software.

Why?

The language defaulted to Hong Kong Chinese. And I can't read the damn characters.

All of the brain juices went out of my head as I tried to revert it back to English. Took me a good 30 minutes of panicking and whatnot.

But at least I managed to get it back to English.

After panicking that much, I laughed at myself and my stupidity of panicking yet still doing something to get it right that I had to rummage around the house to find my tablet and draw my expression when I opened it.

[EDIT]

To make things funnier, for some irrational reason I switched from Mozart's Violin Sonata no. 5 in A, 2nd Movement to Elgar's Violin Sonata in E Minor. And to put in some "sarcastic music" during my dilemma, I've let Mozart 11 to play while I struggle.

I really have no idea why I did those stuff.

Allegro Gioioso/Scherzando

Yeah, I had this splendid dream last night. About classical music and orchestras.

How it started is vague but I'm quite happy with it. I can even feel the smile on my face as I sleep.
But when I woke up, I was really edgy because a piece is stuck in my head.
I just had to open my laptop just to listen to Mozart Oboe Concerto 1st Movement (it was the piece that got stuck in my head when I was sleeping).

I remember back in Grade 1 that they pick certain students to lead/conduct the National Anthem per class and another song which I really can't remember. I was lucky that I got picked for both songs, and they taught us a little in the 4/4 measure (for the National Anthem; I can't remember the measure for the other one).

I'm more inclined to the playful pieces when it comes to classical, for some unknown reason.

Berlioz "Symphonie Fantastique" 5th MovementGershwin "Rhapsody in Blue" (Melodica Version), and Mozart "Twinkle, Twinkle" and Ravel "Water Song" are fun don't you think?

Oh yeah, there's nothing wrong with changing ones taste in music halfway in their life. Screw those who says "OMG, what a poser. S/He says s/he likes music so she'd be popular".

THERE'S NOTHING TOO LATE IN LIFE TO STUDY NEW THINGS.

Soulless Introvert

Yeah, that's how I'm feeling right now. =-= ;;

Despite of having skills, I'm nothing but a mass of useless skills that cannot be really that much use for work. Or if I do, I'm nothing compared to others. Of course, it'll be pretty useless if someone's a through-and-through introvert...

I know my problem is that I have set too high of a standard for myself...but I can't help it, not when I'm surrounded by people who has expectations on me too...

In any case, I do love those socks. =-= I still don't own a pair of that and someday, I'm going to have them...

And also on the bright side, I do have some personal commissions while I'm on bum mode...

Allegro di Famiglia II

The colored version of Allegro di Famiglia. It took me a lot longer to finish because there are lots of distraction around.

A short story for the picture (by character, bottom to top) :

Me: Aha~ Running is a good form of exercise~!!

Sora: What do you mean exercise?! If you want to exercise, go run by yourself! Don't drag us into your pranks!!

Sui: Kuma-chan looks like a little pissed....

Daisuke: Mother!! I'm starting to hate you!! Don't leave us behind!!

Kyoya: Why does this always happen..

Eri: Kyoya, you're quite a runner...

Dion: Kuma-chan-!!!! TTATT

Adalbert: Aha~ So fun~

Erhard: Just how far will you traitors and punks run? =-=

Namiki: Help me!!!

Maki: Damn it. I haven't even finished brushing my teeth....

Bunny-chan: Kuma-chan...? What happened?

Kuma-chan: ...

Allegro di Famiglia

I was suddenly struck with mischievousness so I drew this. Allegro is a music tempo that is fast, bright and quick.
From bottom to top:
Me, Sora, Sui, Daisuke, Kyoya, Eri, Dion, Adalbert, Erhard, Namiki, Maki, Bunny-chan and Kuma-chan.

I've always wanted to draw a family picture with them so, yeah...
I'll upload the colored version sometime today or tomorrow.

=3=

My playlist, for the first time, doesn't have anything to do with my drawing. But they did help me get into the mischievous mood.

Monochrome sleep

Believe it or not, this was drawn without any theme in mind. I just sort of let my mind wander as I listened to random music and drew this on my sketchpad.
And feeling bored, I edited it a little in Photoshop.
Chalk and charcoal is my best buddy in effects. Especially on quick doodles like this.

[Edit]

Those ochibis are my "children". Starting from the one closest to me is Sora (idiot hair up), Sui (idiot hair down), the one with her back to us is Eri and the one facing her is Kyoya.
